1 Lord of creation, giver of gladness,

in celebration we come today;

loved ones around us, hope shining strongly,

your love completing our deepest joy.

2 Lord of our past days, life's rich surprises,

clearing our pathways you wisely led:

through painful learning we have moved forward,

working and earning our daily bread.

3 Lord of tomorrow: what will it bring us?

Blessing or sorrow, all unexplored:

each situation calls us to trust you,

our true salvation is Christ the Lord.

4 Lord, in your keeping we are safe always;

waking or sleeping you watch us still:

save us from losing love's precious jewel,

help us in choosing your gracious will.
